  • Is it a Snow Day?

PRACTICES ARE CANCELLED ON ALL TTUSD Snow Days (Practice Cancellation Policy)

    • Our practice facilities fall under the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) policies for snow days.  If the school district calls a cancellation of school for a "snow day", even if the afternoon clears and looks good, the facility is shut down for the remainder of the day/evening.
    • In addition, the Principal at Alder Creek Middle School can deem the facility shut down for all sports and usage if a storm arrives during the school day and it is progressively getting worse. Therefore, a TTUSD snow day or a sports/usage shut down will effectively cancel practice.  There will be no make ups for canceled practices (we only have the gym on scheduled days).  Team coaches may work together to share courts on other days to help teams out that have cancellations.

How do I know if it is a Snow Day and Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club practice has been canceled?

    1. You can check the TTUSD website regarding declared snow days at https://www.ttusd.org/snowday
    2. You can call the TTUSD recorded telephone message at 530-582-2510 or 530-581-7020
    3. We also understand safety for your family is most important. If you feel weather conditions make it unsafe to travel, then please notify your coach as soon as possible before practice. We expect that your call, text or e-mail will occur before practice. Your decision should be based on safety, and not preference.

We would like to thank our generous community sponsors for helping us create local opportunities for our youth.
